Dr. Bartkus earned her medical degree from Guayaquil University School of Medicine. She completed her neurology residency at Tufts Medical Center and a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology with emphasis on electromyography (EMG) and neuromuscular disease at Lahey Hospital and was the affiliating clinical fellow in electromyography at Boston Children’s Hospital. Her interest is focused on general neurology including multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, and neuromuscular disorders such as diagnosing and treating Guillain-Barre syndrome, myasthenia gravis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), peripheral neuropathy syndromes, as well as myopathies and autonomic disorders. Dr. Bartkus performs nerve conductions studies and electromyography (EMG) supporting the diagnosis related to peripheral neuropathies, radiculopathies, motor neuron disease, and myopathies.
